St. Olaf Church (Oleviste Kirik), at the left, is believed to be initially constructed in the 12th century.  It has burned down three times and extensively rebuilt later. Its tower, more than 400 ft. (123 meters) high, is now the 25th in height in the world, but in 16th century it was considered by some to be the tallest.  To the right, the towers of the Church of the Holy Ghost and the historic Town Hall rise above the Hanseatic red roofs.  The modern city is in the background.
