The sharp-edged and black-capped Cuernos del Paine rise abruptly above Lago Pehoe in Torres del Paine National Park, a sanctuary established in 1970. British explorer Eric Shipton called Patagonia the “land of tempest.” On a windy morning waves crash the shore while in the distance clouds bloom over the Cuernos del Paine.
