Most Patagonian residents have four legs. The wool and mutton industry remains vital to the local economy. This scene was captured near the Cordillera Paine in Chile. Between 1890 and 1940 the Magallanes region was one of the world’s most important sheep herding regions. Today, guanaco wool exceeds the value of sheep wool by ten times.
