Lake Atitlan is an enormous collapsed caldera nested at 5,000 feet among three large volcanoes. Here the Mayan culture still rules. The word “atitlen” means “place where the rainbow gets its colors.” Latin America is indeed a place of color, seen both in the landscapes and in the beauties created by villagers.
