The Tetons stand proudly on postcards and calendars, but the vast Wind River Range just to the southeast is at least as impressive. Temple Peak, 12,942 feet, is only one of hundreds of granite mountains, spread across this region. Most peaks require at least a long day’s walk just to get to camp. Many groups opt for horses or even llamas to help them carry loads.
