Looking down at the Hulahula River from Kikitat Mountain in the northern foothills of the Brooks Range. Born of the glaciers of Romanzof Mountains, Hulahula flows through a beautiful valley between Mt. Chamberlin and Mt. Michelson to Beaufort Sea. Hawaiian whalers in the 19th century gave the river its odd name.
