Like a cornice of snow, the exfoliating layers of Wichman Tower in the Arrigetch offer a fantastically exposed ridge climb to its 6,916-foot summit. But watch out. Rock slabs teeter in perilous balance along the ridge. Sometimes only the gentle touch of an unwitting climber will send them tumbling.
